Privacy Policy

How we look after the personal information you share with us through this website.

Last updated:

This policy explains what personal information Tour Wellington (“we”, “us”) collects through tourwellington.com, why, and what you can do about it. We follow the New Zealand Privacy Act 2020.

What we collect

  • When you send us an enquiry: your name, email address, phone number (if you give it), the tour or event you’re interested in, your preferred date, group size and your message.
  • When you sign up to our newsletter: your email address.

We don’t ask for anything else, and you don’t need to give us any personal information just to browse the site.

Bookings

Bookings are made through FareHarbor, our booking system. FareHarbor collects your booking and payment details and handles them under its own privacy policy. FareHarbor’s booking tools load on this site when you start using the page or open a booking link, and may set their own cookies.

How we use your information

  • To reply to your enquiry and help you plan your tour or event.
  • To send you our newsletter, if you’ve signed up.

We only use your information for the reason you gave it to us. We don’t sell it, and we don’t share it with anyone except the services below, which we use to run the website.

The services we use

Where it’s stored and how long we keep it

The services above store information on their own servers, some of which are outside New Zealand. Under the Privacy Act we stay responsible for your information when one of these services stores it for us. We keep your information only for as long as we need it for the reason you gave it to us.

Your rights

  • You can ask to see the personal information we hold about you, and ask us to correct it.
  • You can unsubscribe from our newsletter at any time, using the link at the bottom of every newsletter, or by emailing us.

Questions and complaints

For any privacy question or request, email us at enquiries@tourwellington.com.

If you’re not happy with how we’ve handled your information, you can complain to the Office of the Privacy Commissioner at privacy.org.nz.
